Bell
The Bell Family : Assisted: October 2010-Current
Amount: $2483.11
Mildred Bell and her family came to Belief for Relief when facing eviction due to a job loss. Medical problems involving double eye surgery, along with changes at her work, left Ms Bell jobless. After we made sure her eviction was stabilized and she could remain in her home with her family, Mrs. Bell got a job! Exactly why BFR is here, for that push back up to prevent poverty and work towards the betterment of ourselves and our community!
Unfortunately not all cases are smooth sailing and this simple. Mrs. Bell came down with Pneumonia towards the beginning of 2011 and was in the hospital. Her stay to recover was too long for her new job to hold the position. A small step backward. We are working closely with the Bells and trying to keep morale up as they continue to look for work.

Thankfully, Belief for Relief was able to approve Itria and her family. Belief for Relief paid $650.00 toward Itria's LIPA bill so her family could continue to live their daily lives. We wish all the best to Itria and her family!

Amount: $2,688.00
Renee had a medical issue back in August 2010 that left her out of work until December of 2010. Months later, Renee received a notice to vacate her place because she fell so behind on her rent.
When we received Renee's paperwork in July, she was not yet evicted, but she needed help fast. Belief for Relief stepped in and paid a whopping $2,688.00 toward her owed rent from the past year! This amount didn't cover all that she owed, but she was able to make payments to pay off the balance and it helped her get back on her feet. Now Renee can continue to live while comfortably maintaining her monthly bills without having to bear the expense of being evicted and securing a new home which would have set her back even further. We hope all the best for Renee and are confident she will now continue to be successful.
