Belief for Relief works to provide monetary assistance to families in financial crisis. Those who are
suffering from true financial hardship due to involuntary job loss, medical bills due to illness, recession related devastations, and similar circumstances beyond their control; circumstances that have resulted in severe financial hardship such as impending homelessness or other devastating family crises.
Our goal is to return each family’s finances to a secure state and enable them to live within their means so they can continue their daily lives without the burden of looming disaster each day.
As a result of us coming together to help one family, then two, then four,… we will in turn be one step closer to supporting and stimulating the overall economy. If we continue to recreate this formula time and time again, we can generate a positive domino effect through out all of our American communities!
Consider us, with the help of our contributors,

about
ABOUT US
At Belief for Relief, we are a family of struggling Americans who came together to find a resolution for ourselves and by chance, ended up with this great project in its place. We wanted to face the challenge of what we saw around us on a daily basis; Americans stuck in debt and unable to get out, facing the loss of their job, home, security, and happiness. In todays economic environment every American has been affected on some level, this faced with an unexpected family crisis, like job loss, illness, mortgage issues, a family can get stuck in debt for years, forcing them to face some very hard decisions for their family. In an effort to help the Americans that have found themselves deeply in debt and struggling to hold onto their lives and possibly their homes, Belief for Relief was founded.
In the previous years before the recession, Americans were flying high! It seemed anything we wanted was a signature away; homes, cars, boats, and above all, credit cards enticing us to spend with irresistible APR offers. After no time at all, most of us were left with big lives to support. These ingredients mixed with the fall of an economy left us humbled to say the least. Most Americans were not only drowning in debt, but actually owned a small portion of their assets if at all. We have come together at BFR to restructure American homes in need. We believe by relieving financial burden, and teaching each family how to live within the new means set forth by the recession, a family will be free to go out and access the programs, services, stores, and social clubs their community offers. Slowly, one family at a time, this will create a positive domino effect of community development, job creation, social structure, and psychological well being.
Currently Belief For Relief Inc., is incorporated in the state of New York with registrations to conduct business in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and California.
We offer assistance to families nationwide as we look forward to continuing our expansion through out all of the United States of America.
Americans supporting Americans in our time of need!

Our Programs
Temporary Financial Assistance Sometimes we face hardship we were never prepared to overcome. Rather than let this event destroy the security of a home, or family structure, we offer temporary financial assistance in order to cover some essential needs of a family until they can regain security. Approvals are on a case by case basis and length and/or amount of assistance will be determined by our team based on current and projected financial situations. Our goal is to prevent further devastation which would leave a family little to no chance of recovery, and instead offer a little help when it is needed.
Our theory here is prevention as intervention.
Debt Relief We offer a strict debt relief service to the American public through our charitable contributions. Applications are accepted, processed and approved on a case by case basis as they come in. All accepted families are financially monitored throughout the relief program and are also required to complete our three step counseling program. Applicants must submit extensive paperwork as well as be open to background and/or credit checks. Relief funds are at times limited; therefore the time it takes for full relief may vary.
Mortgage Assistance Having to watch so many friends, neighbors, and loved ones struggle with falling behind on monthly mortgage payments; we became inspired to help them avoid losing their homes. There are so many Americans struggling with their mortgages that have been denied modification! If we can help bring a defaulting mortgage up to date and allow a family to move forward (and also pay it forward), then we’ve changed their lives in a tremendous way. Families must qualify by first showing good faith on their credit reports with little to no debt and a true need for relief that will enable them to continue making future payments without strain.
Applicants must have already been denied for modification.

Family 1 Story:
$5668
Mrs. Bell is a long time resident of Nassau County, New York. She worked at an early childhood center for twelve years before having to resign because she could not afford to take the newly required certification program necessary to keep her job. Along with this, she also faced a double eye surgery without health coverage to cover the costs. Now, all three family members, Mrs. Bell, her son, and her brother, are involved in a government run work program. Mrs. Bell is starting work again, while her family stills awaits an opportunity through this program. Because of the job loss and medical condition she faced, there is now back rent owed, utilities defaulted on, and medical bills late, amongst other debt due to the cost of living and basic needs. Mrs. Bell and her family face eviction in a few short months if her back rent is not paid. The lighting company agreed to turn her lights back on after they had been cut last month, only if the balance is satisfied in a timely manner. Before this family is faced with eviction, homelessness, and other challenges that will leave them helpless and only contributing to so many of our societies problems, let's join hands and help them stay in their home while they regain their financial security through their work program! Let's make this family a success story and avoid the possibility of having to accept anything less!
What we will do: Help satisfy back rent and utilities owed to ensure a stable home environment while we counsel, educate, and together with the family, execute a well formulated plan to reestablish security within their home for today, and for the future.

Belief For Relief, Inc. is a 501c(3) Tax Exempt Non Profit Corporation whose mission is to financially assist families who have found themselves in deep financial distress due to unforeseen circumstances. We strive to return these families to a secure financial state and educate them towards living within their means. The contributions and gifts collected by BFR, Inc. will be used mainly for the purpose of furthering our cause. Reasonable expenses covering the costs of organizing business, fundraisers, and events will also need to be satisfied through the corporations revenue.
Belief For Relief, Inc. does not request or collect information, and furthermore, does not deny or grant assistance in respect to the age, gender, or ethnic background of applicants and/or donors. BFR does not discriminate against any person's age, ethnic background, gender, religion, or sexual preference in the awarding of financial assistance.
As repeatedly studied and proved, when it comes to donations, it is the smallest of numbers that come together to form over 80% of the total contributions for a charity. With that in mind, we like to encourage our applicants to participate in the donation process as this will come together and create a faster turnaround time resulting in more families assisted. We also encourage young Americans, or those who think their few dollars wont matter, to take a step forward and see how it CAN make a difference.
nick
Nicholas Wolber was diagnosed with Synovial sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer in December of 2005 at the age of 22 in his right knee. He had surgery to remove the cancer from his leg and spent months receiving Chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The radiation therapy was so strong that it caused an open wound to develop in Nick’s leg and rendered him unable to walk. Nick went through three more painful surgeries on his leg, including a final 16 hour surgery in which they took muscle and skin grafts from his back and leg to rebuild his knee. Following this surgery, Nick spent a month in a hospital bed healing.
After this battle with cancer, Nick was cancer free for almost 5 years. In those years, Nick completed his college degree, got his real estate license and had several sales jobs before finally making it to the big league when he started working for Penn Mutual on Park Avenue as a financial advisor. Against the odds, he fought hard and began snowboarding again.
However, in March 2010, Nick went to the hospital after coughing up blood. He had tests done showing the cancer was terminal and had come back not only in his leg, but also in his chest. The tumor in his chest was the size of his heart, and attached to his lungs and heart. Many of the doctors Nick went to see told him the tumor in his chest was too large and inoperable. The prognosis was grim, chemotherapy and radiation had also been shown to have little effect on this cancer. He found a specialist at Sloan Kettering who reluctantly agreed to operate, but told Nick that the surgery was extremely dangerous and life threatening. The surgery was successful, and 98% of the tumor was removed from his chest and used to create a new vaccine in Dallas. Nick was treated at Mary Crowley Cancer Foundation in Dallas Texas, where he underwent a clinical trial for a new cancer vaccine. However, the tumor in Nick’s leg continued to grow at a rapid pace and caused him extreme pain. On August 17th, Nick had his leg removed above the knee. He was hoping the vaccine would kill the remaining cancer in his chest and stop the cancer from coming back, but it hasn’t shown any positive results. So Nick was advised by Dr’s to start another clinical trial at Sloan Kettering with a more aggressive treatment including chemotherapy. Nick has a long road ahead of him and we pray everyday for a miracle, as the doctors have given him only months to live. In the mean time Nick was able to fulfill his dream to be able to snowboard again with the help of a prosthetic.
During Nicholas’ first time receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he was placed in the children’s cancer ward at Schneider’s Children’s Hospital. He saw first hand the effects of cancer on children and was deeply touched. Nick and his friends started a charitable organization to help raise money to distribute to children with cancer to help them pay for the cost of experimental vaccine treatments and to provide financial resources for travel, lodging and meals to be able to obtain the treatments. Nick has been very selfless throughout this entire battle. He is always concerned for his family, friends and raising money for his charity. However, he has had to stop working while receiving his cancer treatments and was terminated from his employer and is being placed on disability. His medical bills have also started to add up. He has to pay large co pays for many of his treatments and especially physical therapy, along with everyday bills. Our hope is to help Nick to raise enough funds to cover the costs associated with his treatments that are not covered by insurance, particularly physical therapy and prosthetics, and to help Nick achieve his goals to walk down the aisle at his wedding next year, be able to continue snowboarding again, and to beat Cancer!
